Dear Mr. Joshi,

Do STRAP take care of clause 7.9.1, which states " negative shear shall be
neglected"?
Means, software will only add shear due to ecc. in lateral load resisting
elements. ...

Proper Seismic load distrubution depends also on follwoing issues:

1 how u have modeled shear wall? either by FEM or by
column member only..
2 Where u have applied storey shear at each levels.. eit ...

what you are saying is really truth.. we can not stop devlopers using 6 mm
dia bars, so leading steel manufacturing companies should produced quality
6mm dia bars.

there is one book on " Example of Cad Design" by J D Butch.
where you can find edit file of STAAD for T V Tower, Chimney, Building
etc...
