Backfilling is done when the column/pedestal hardened, hence less chance of concrete getting mix with soil, where as 75 mm cover is provided as the fresh concrete is in dire ... |

1) (L/b) ≤ 60
2) (L*d/b^2) ≤ 250
here L is the clear distance between lateral restraints |
