casting the beam and slab monolithically is a better option. Having any cold joints at the beam/slab interface should be avoided. the beams may be able to serve the purpose , but then if there is no contunity between the beam and slab, the load transfer will not be to the desired level.. and its advisible to design the beam in a beam-slab condition as a T-section, with an effective width! Why would u want to cast the slab after 2-3 days? any specific reason, or just a thought. -regards Raghu

Dear All,
I agree with Mukesh Upadhyay and request the SIFY to accept the membership fees so that this powerful platform can be very effective and usuful in long run.
In case organizers feel the fees I proposed is less they can put up a realistic figure which can take care of annual expenditure vis-a-vis income through the membership.
Any more like minded members? please let all know your views!!
with warm regards,
