Hi All,

At the risk of sounding like a schoolmistress, may I suggest we get back to the interesting discussion about SEFI funding rather than have a wrangling match Smile))

I have been reading with interest the discussions Rajeev, Arvind, Mishra, Kadam, Malay etc have been having on this subject. It would be nice to hear from the other 670 SEFIans

I tend to agree that contributions to SEFI should be voluntary and perhaps we could have a webpage acknowledging these contributions. Also, we could think of having a min and max slab for individuals and organisations for the contributions. THat way SEFI shall retain its independence. It is very important that contributions have no strings attached and it is not seen as a "membership" which allows the contributor to "demand" a level of  service from SEFI. SEFI is, and should,  remain a fiercely independent entity.

Comments, ideas, anyone?

Cheers,
Alpa

Maintaining a webpage acknowledging the contributions is a nice idea.
Moreover that webpage can also have summary (brief detail) of SEFI's fund
account . If not regularly at least quaterly that can be updated , by that
there 'll be transperancy in the system.

Hi All-
I agree with the opennion of Alpa-
Not only that i m suggesting that simultaneously we should formulate -
constitute a local chapters ; a complete net work throughout INDIA - and
resposibility to collect all such fees and site by site circulating the
perticulars related to structural issues should be of local chapter
