sir,


i am using ansys ed 5.5.

i want to perform time history analysis by giving time ver acceleration data like el centro earthquake data for performing seismic analysis.
please tell me where is that option in ansys from where i can give the time ver acceleration history data.
please reply.

Please go to Ansys main menu - Help -Table of contents-verification
manual-See problems VM69 to VM81. You may get the clue. Or try workbook
examples from table of contents.

This is the info I got from friend who is a Ansys user.

time vs acceleration data can be defined substep_wise with time value
definition for each substep and each substep could be solved.
Appropriate transient analysis options must be defined beforehand by using
commands- antype,trnopt, kbc etc.
The results can be extracted using post26 processor.
