AS PER IS 13920 B/D RATION FOR COLUMN IS 0.4 AND FOR BEAM IS 0.3. BUT MOST OF PRACTICISING ENGINEERS DOES NOT GIVE IMPORTERCE TO THIS CLAUSE. THEY HAVE AND HAVE COLUMN SIZE OF 23 X 75 CM AND MORE. QUESTION : IS IT NECESSARY TO FOLLOW THIS RATIOS OR IGNORE IT AND WHY ????
