I need to design a concrete wall of 1.4m thick and which has a height of 6.6m for a room of25mx11m, which is separated as two rooms with a cross wall and carrying a slab of 1.5m thick on it. The wall has more thickness at certain sections. The total span of wall is 25m. At certain portions (two no.s), the wall is 2.4m thick and on these portion a cross beam of 3mx2.4m is supported which carry the 1.5m depth slab. This a Radio active protection room for a hospital. what is the methodology for design these walls, beam and the slab. Any radio active resistant method to be followed and what is the detailing method. |
