I am looking for consultant to advise for correction method of RC chimney having serious tilts due to faulty construction method. The tilt/deflection is about 1000+ mm in 150 meter high construction.
The consultation should also include health/stability assessment of present chimney and revised conditions after correction applied chimney. |

kradhia,
This is a very serious problem.Kindly check the tolerances as per ACI-307 or as per older IS 4998.
Recalculate the Second order Moments at each & every levels and P-Delta effect as given in CICIND.
Is it a Brick-Flue chimney or Steel Flue Chimney?
Try to check reinforcement & section based on second order moments by using Limit state Method (esp. at openings).
Regards,
