Dear Shri Kothari
A soil of 12 to 13 t capacity cannot be said to be a soft soil. Can you give some more detail like the type of building , the order of the loads , the borelog detail etc. It will be easy to answer in such case.

Regards

AKJHA

Dear Sri. Kothari,
Why can't you consult a professional geotechnical consultant?

Dear Sri. Kothari,
Sh. VVS Rao has rightly advised to consult GeoTech Specialist. since incresing bearing capacity of soil depends upon many factors such as
Type of Soil
Depth ofWater Table
Type of Foundation
Method of construction
Pre Loading History
are some of them. so it right to get the advise from right person that is what Rahul Dravid Says daily on TV

You can draw lessons from Vidhan Nagar ,Salt Lake area
of Kolkata where a whole township was built up after
increasing the Bearing Capacity of low capacity
surface earth upto considerable depth.Practical useage
must be kept in mind and not from professionals only
out to build his Bio-Data

Dear all

Taking all factors into consideration as given by Mr Daljeet, there is available a flexible layer of filler which can improve soil bearing capacity & prevent any damage to the foundation by nullifying swelling pressure of soil

This is as per international specs being followed in european countries. M\s The Supreme Industries Limited. , are into process of developing a tailor made solution for these problems.

Justus
