Clause 7.3.8 allows buildings to be fixed at base except for sensitivity analysis as per 8. IS 1893-1_2016 allows fixed support for foundation on rock or rock like material at shallow depth only. Also, design acceleration co-eff (sa/g) as per code can only be used if time period T is determined considering soil structure interaction.
