Generally, tower slab and podium slab are not at same level. Say, i have a level difference of 600 mm between tower slab and podium slab. 750 deep periferel beam of tower is supporting podium slab at beam bottom and tower slab from beam top.
Such backstay diaphram with level difference will be effective as alternative path to transfer lateral load to supporting element?
Like restriction in size and location of opening in backstay diaphragm, is there any restriction regarding maximum permissible level difference in backstay diaphragm?
Modeling and design of beam supporting podium slab from bottom and tower slab from top may be crucial. |
