My friend has old load bearing house with roof tiles on top. Now he has decided to make it g+1. So what they did is that they broke the wall corners making 30 cm gap and in that gap they casted columns. Now the beams spanning from column also rest on that "load bearing" walls. So my question is that all the load from slab above will be directly transferred to the columns or the walls might carry some of it? |
