Working faster and becoming more productive is often just a matter of working smarter. The infographic below  outlines the many ways you can become a faster worker.

First and foremost, it is important to focus on one thing at a time.  people have an average of 49 thoughts per minute. Practice thinking about just one thing at a time so you can give your entire focus to the task at hand.

Just keep moving. Instead of stopping after getting stuck on something, just move on to the next task and come back to it later. Create first drafts in five-minute time periods and don’t worry if they are accurate or good. You can always rework on them.

Keep email replies as short as possible — try to stick to the Twitter rule and reply in 140 characters.

A few other ways to work faster are

  • listening to music(may not work if you are doing a complex task such as designing using mathematical formulae)
  • keeping a clean desk and
  • turning on bright lights(don't forget to use energy saving bulbs), or work near a window so that you will have bright light.

The music selection is very appropriate.
Using your phone to listen to radio online stations is completely free.

Very interesting and important aspect touched by Dr N S sir.

DO ONE THING AT A TIME
It is real mantra / tip to success . It is the case of ATTENTION FOCUSED , instead of ATTENTION DIVERTED.

While driving , one must focus on driving , any divergent thoght may lead to mishap.
Similarly while designing , there is need to focus on work, input modelling even when working with software , as ' Bad input , Bad results '.

Mystics also work on this principle in their quest to GOD realisation.

Great Scientist Sir Isaak Newton , while thinking about gravity force on falling apple from tree was so focussed that A military band passed by his side , was not aware.

( to be continued in next post)

Secondly , the best way to tackle an unsolved problem is to leave it time being and move to next , and come back to it later. Very rightly said by Dr NS sir. Even in our exams , if attempt a difficult question first and stuck, it is wise not to spend more time , but to move to next and may be at end , tackle such question.

Flowing water never stagnates ,

A mystic poet said :
Badtaa hi rahaa  manzile maksood ki taraf ,
Haayal vegarnaa raah mein , saangay darraan milay.
( I kept on moving towards my goal , though enroute , I met with many obstacles in form of pathaars , I.e. mountains )

Music is best stress reliever ,  listening or playing always help after hectic day .
Listening songs, gazal , also refreshes.
