I planning some research experiments using GGBS as Supplementary Cementitious Material in Concrete.
Due to Covid_19 pandemic situation I have got a stock of 2 years old GGBS.
Can I use this old stock. Is its age going to affect any properties of concrete?? |

Please elaborate storage conditions
Was its storage air tight?
Was it storage moisture free or no ingress of moisture being permitted?
Was is stored in a way OPC is stored or some other way? |

Sir,
It is just stored in a godown kind of room along with some construction equipment in the concrete laboratory in our institution. The room doesn't have any exterior wall of the building. |

This means store does not meet professional protective requirements
GGBS cannot survive in that case |

Though not an expert on CT , just a layman's view :
If quantity of GGBS is huge , it is better to get it tested for its usage . Samples to be taken from different locations of storage to have representative samples.
Just a thought that crept in my mind , may be ignored if seems laughable |

Dear Sir,
Why not consider your first research into effect of ageing of stock by conducting a comparative study of the old stock GGBS with new stock GGBS for strength, workability, etc? This will at least use up some of your stock as well as act as a research material.
Yours sincerely
