I have a technical query to you and need your opinion regarding that.While going through the design clauses of IS 802 (Part 1/ Sec 2) : 2016 for the Design Strengths of sections for Overhead Transmission Line Towers, I have gone through the Annex A - Design Stresses for Circular Hollow Sections (Newly added this time).At Section A-3.2, for the determination of Compression Capacity for Class 4 sections, a term Aeff is used and an expression is given by the code as replicated below.Somehow, I am not very sure whether the expression for Aeff is correct or not. It uses the term Aeff in both the sides in the form of an implicit equation. Is this correct Sir ?Eagerly waiting to hear from you. I received this query today. Yes. there is a mistake in the equation. the second term should not be there!

Aeff on right hand side is not correct. Only A shall be there.
