Can we add reinforcement of distribution for the check of shear stress as in the attachment? Attachment is from advance RCC by N. krishna Raju

Reinf to be taken for shear check :-

One way shear is  intercepted by main bars in that direction ,, generally renforcement  of main bars is taken to assess permitted shear stress.
Distribution bars ( or for that matter other dir bars) are not considered. These are considered for one way shear check in other dir . (Orthogonal) .

In a beam shear check,, only tension reinforcement percentage is considered,, even compression reinf bars at comp face are not considered,  neither orthogonal bars in form of shear reinf are not considered.

But book by Krishna Raju is highly acknowledge d book and some other eminent members may  comment.
