Dear All

BIS is revising its National Building Code of India 2016 (NBC 2016). The following chapters relating to Structural Design are open for review and commenting:

- Structural Design - Loads, Forces & Effects
- Structural Design - Soils & Foundation
- Structural Design - Steel-Concrete Composite Construction
- Structural Design - Glass & Glazing
- Structural Design using Timber
- Structural Design using Bamboo

This is requested to be retained

ADDITIONAL ANNEXURE -
A TABLE GIVING PRELIMINARY ESTIMATE OF SAFE BEARING CAPACITIES OF SOILS FOR GENERAL BUILDINGS LESS THAN TWO STOREYS  - AS ALREADY PROVIDED IN NBC OLD VERSION BEFORE 2000 .
THIS IS NEEDED VERY MUCH FIR SMALL BUILDING STRUCTURES

AN IS CODE REQUIRED IN MODELLING OF STRUCTURES PROVIDING GUIDELINES FOR IDEAL STRUCTURES MODELLING,  

SINCE COMPUTER SOFTWARE AGE,,

INCORRECT MODELLING MAY LEAD TO INACCURATE RESULTS  AND HENCE GUIDELINES ON MODELLING ASPECTS NEEDS TO BE COVERED.

JUST A SUGGESTION FOR CONSIDERATIONS
