The Draft Code on Seismic Evaluation and Strengthening of Existing Buildings is a step in the right direction. However, one would have liked to see more of "Future Trends in Earthquake Resistant Design of Structures" by Dr. Durgesh Rai included in this code. Future is already here.
While Dr. Rai must have good reasons to restrict the proposed code largely to Simplified Rehabilitation, as defined in FEMA 356 and 310 prestandards, perhaps Systematic Rehabilitaion procedures will be required for RCC structures.
