Hello Obviously i was referring to long. reinf. in the comp. zone as I wrote "Shear strength of conc. without shear reinforcement............."
If answer is No then "WHY" Will the comp. reinf. not have to shear off before the beam fails in shear.
hello Mr.Mukesh updhaya, Does ur question refer to the longitudinal reinf. in the compr. zone! If so, how can longitudinal reinf. increase(contribute to) the shear capaciy of the beam? - i suppose the answer to ur question would be 'No'. if i have misread the Q, do clarify! Thanks Raghu
