|

Respected Experienced Members, Colleagues and Friends,
today i went on a friends site where plinth slab construction work was in progress. we faced few problems on site.
1. Concrete was getting hardened even before the mistri could properly level it.
Mistri asked to allow him to add some "Nirma powder" to avoid this problem.
Structural engg suggested to check cement manufacturing date and asked to add water proofing chemical 200 ml per cement bag which adds to construction cost.
Contractor blamed site engineer for disallowing him from spreading a plastic sheet on slab area. He stated that water is getting absorbed which could have been prevented by using plastic sheet.
please guide us (site engineers) with proper methodology.
As your reply will not only solve my query but also will be referred as guidelines for better construction on site by many other site engineers reading this post..
I also request other site engineers to post their site queries so that we all can learn form it..
Thanking you in anticipation..
