A Programme ON - Computer Techniques of Finite Element Method.
25th to 27th June 2004.
OBJECT
The course provides opportunity for practicing engineers, faculty and students to refresh and update the methods of analysis of structural systems, as professional practice in Cyber age.
SCHEDULE
Friday, 25th June 2004
Saturday, 26th June 2004
Sunday, 27th June 2004.
Timings - 0900 hrs. To 1730 hrs.
CONTENT
* Powerpoint Presentations on :
- Basics of Finite Element Method
- Non-isoparametric elements for 2-D and 3-D analysis
- Isoparametric elements for 2-D and 3-D analysis
- Elements for analysis of plates and shells
- Solution techniques.
- Demonstration of Various Software Packages through case studies.
VENUE
The Institution of Engineers (India), Pune Local Centre.
REGISTRATION
Fees : Rs. 1200/- for members of IEI.
Rs.1000/- for College Teachers.
Rs.1500/- for Non Members.
Rs. 700/- for Students/ Fresh Graduates.
Registration on first come first served basis.

Hi Rajesh,
I recall seeing a reasonably priced edition (published in India) of a book on FEM, probably by Desai & Abel. Check it out.
