I came across a sitiuation while designing Beams Supported by floating column, where in i got sagging moment at the supports not only for the Envolope case But also for DL+LL combo,Due to vertical deflection of the Supporting column i got these moments, can i detail these beams for ductility? Will it ll be a Moment resisting Frame? Can any one suggest me in this issue.is there any other way that i can eliminate this sagging moment at the supports?I use ETABS for design.
