Hello
i think we should check the footing for both the cases;
a) for max load and corresponding moments
b) for maximum eccentricity (ratio of M/P)
any case may give maximum bearing pressure.

Dear friends,
We have made a spread sheet programme in EXCEL to consider the critical
case to find maximum ecc. of all the load cases for each direction and
design the footing for maximum eccentricity of both directions and apply it
as if the same ecc. will be applicable for both cases. After having found
that large ecc occur in seismic cases , we have adopted the case of Maximum
load and corresponding eccentricity.- rangarao
