Real loss to quality in Civil engg profession. Dr CSV was a guru, guide, friend, engineer, scientist. He inspired and encouraged many people. I am grateful to him for pushing me to register PhD and finish it. A personal loss to many many engineers in India.

It was Friday 24.10.14, afternoon, everyone was wishing each other on occasion of Diwali. Suddenly message of ICI secretary with a great sorrow about passage of Dr. C. S. Vishwanath was received. When I shared it with other fraternity members in contact, everyone felt sorrowful. Senior members shared their experience about teaching of Dr. CSV at IISc Bangalore. Dr. N. Subramanian recollected his style of functioning as a consultant and the weightage his voice carried in Karnataka state. We also discussed about the memories of Dr CSV in seminars and literatures, TorSteel Foundation etc. Everyone expressed about the void caused in Industry due to passage of this wizard.
May God rest his soul in peace!
