Dear all,

Problem of erratic strengths then(in seventies) was probably due to fineness that could not be achieved. However now with advent of grade 53 cement achieved by improved grinding procedure, even pozzolana cement fineness shouldn't be a problem. Then what is the problem?Hope hereafter everybody at site has pleasure with pozzolana cement like Jayant(Lakhlani) had.It will really be a boon for underground/ massive concrete.

regards,

P Kadam

Dear All,

High percentage of Ground Granulated Blastfurnace Slag (GGBS) which has pozzolanic activity and produces low heat of hydration blended with cement is used in mass concreting in Kuwait and Middle East countries and the concrete grade achieved is high (min. compressive cube strength = 42 N/mm2).

Regards
Malini
