Thanks Sangeeta for asking. I am sorry for not explaining in earlier email. Floor Space Index (FSI) is the ratio of the total allowable built up area on a plot to the area of Plot. When we say for example FSI is 1.33, it means that the total built up area can be 1.33 times area of plot. If you are building 4 living floors, each floor would have area = 1/3rd the area of plot. Some cities call it FAR. (Floor area ratio)
