Dear Sunil
Actually no text book gives complete practical construction procedures. The specifications are available with consultants like  Engineers India Ltd.Work specifications for specific projects  will be issued as a controlled copy. But it covers descriptions of all the items of work starting from earthwok to finishing items.

Dear Mr.Sunil,

Being a part of one of the biggest construction company in India - HCC, I
would like share my experience about our sites.

Civil engineering construction site is like a big family, consisting of
Civil / Mechanical / Electrical engineers, all targeting to one goal - i.e.
Quality Construction. It is very interesting to know the activities on site
- from mobilization of staff, labours, machinery & equipment - till
completion of the construction. You may refer following books to know more
about sites, formworks etc.

1) Site Construction & Planning Handbook - Thomas H. Russ
2) Formwork for bridges - Jr. Robinson
3) Formwork - Hurst
4) Concrete Formwork Designers Handbook - Gill
5) Formwork - Austin
6) Formwork - Peurifoy

Many more references are available, but there is no single reference that
covers all the aspects of site activities. Also each site is unique in
itself, hence from references it will be difficult to have a feel of site.

Regards
V. G. Abhyankar
