Dear All,
I am working on a design of Precast office Building. I have to design Double Tee Slab as floor element with structural screed of 60mm. My problem is to model the double tee slab in Etabs.
I have two options for modelling double tee slab
Option 1: Modeling Regular shell element with equivalent thickness
Option 2: Modelling stem of double tee as secondary beam and slab of Slab 120mm thk spanning in one direction .
So please can any one help me to decide which option is better. Or there is any other way that i can model Double Tee Slab
I have attached the typical DT Slab Section and the slab is 9m long.
LIVE LOAD=400kg/sqm
SIDL=250kg/sqm
