Dear Er. Rajesh,
For ascertaining the suitable type of foundation, you have to specify if the structure is load bearing or framed. If framed, the magnitude of axial load load transmitted through columns will decide the foundation, viz.,  end bearing pile, under-reamed pile, mat foundation, combined footing or isolated footing. The low SBC in your case may necessitate pile foundations for taller structures.

Dear  Er.  Rajesh suraypally,

In USA  general practice is that a Licensed ( Experience) GEOTECH ( Soil Consultant ) gives TYPE  FOUNDATION ( FOOTINGS, RAFT , CAISSONS, PILES ) for the project.  All we ( Structural Engineers) give Geotech Consultantant a full size Drawings showing Colum Locations, Shear Wall Locations and a Big Table with Maximum  FOUNDATION  REACTIONS ( DL, LL, WIND XYZ , EQ-XYZ ) under each Column and each Shear Wall. Based on the Foundation Reactions we give , Geotech     calculates  TOTAL  SETTLEMENTS,  DIFFRENTIAL SETTLEMENTS against allowables in the  Building Codes.  Then he recommends in his final Soil Report a type of Foundation meeting the Code Requirements.   Type of Foundation to be used for the project comes from Geotech or Soil Consultant.

I have worked is US for 35 years and except calculating the Maximum FOUNDATION  REACTIONS, I have  never worried about Type Of Foundation to be used on the project. That is a Geotech. ( Soil Consultant ) specialty.

The reason is Liability ( Legal ) issue .  A Licensed Geotech. ( Soil Consultant ) Engr. is fully responsible for a FOUNDATION  FAILURE   like  SAN FRANCISCO, CA  58 story Millennium  Tower.  See the recent posts  on that 58 story tower Foundation Failure.

Regards.

Hi Rajesh,

As told by Jayakumar sir, it completely depends on the type of soil and structure you are supporting. Please what of structure is construction on this type of soil

If the loads are more you can go for pile foundation. For taller structures pile with raft as a pile cap.

With Best,
Saikiarn.
