Main Conference (January 3-4, 2017): Multiple sessions on Earthquake Safety, Construction Safety, Structural Fires, Risk Analysis, Behavioral Safety, Fire Safety, Process Safety etc. The topics will be covered by 7 plenary lectures and 60 papers (in total 15 sessions) from different safety professionals of India and abroad (USA, UK, Korea, Bangladesh, Greece etc.)
Symposium on Structures Under Fire (January 5-6, 2017):
The aim of the course is to provide the participants an in-depth knowledge in dynamics of Fire in various buildings structures, Property of different construction materials under Fire, design and analysis of RCC and Steel Structures subjected to fire, Case studies, Sharing the experimental experience of various Fire tests conducted in IIT Gandhinagar, knowledge on simulation of structural fires using software. At the end of the course, the participants are expected to have fair understanding of:
- Basics of Fire Dynamics
- Different Phenomena of fire.
- Designing of the safest structure.

- Heat transfer principles: Mechanisms of heat transfer, design calculations for assessing temperatures inside structural members (RC and steel)
- Effect of fire on materials and structures: Mechanical and thermal properties of steel and concrete
- Design of steel members
- Hands on session on design of steel members under fire
- Design of reinforced concrete members
- Hands on session on design of RC members under fire
- Fire safety provisions for high-rise buildings
- Provisions in Indian codes for fire safety (NBC part 4)
- Performance-based fire design and research questions
Symposium on Process Safety (January 5-6, 2017):
The SPS 2017 will introduce participants to the fundamentals of Process Safety and its industrial practice. Leading national and international professionals and academics from India and abroad will conduct the Symposium, which will emphasize on safe operation of process plants and promote a culture of safety in the plant environment. It will also help professionals to understand the challenges and best practices for safer and healthy workplaces. The Symposium will feature a panel discussion on "Process Safety and Best Practices"in which safety professionals from various industries, policy makers and scholars will discuss best practices, challenges, and possible solutions.
Participants: The course is designed for (a) Chemical Engineering Professionals. (b) Process Safety Professional (c) EHS Professionals (d) Students, Teachers and Researchers.

Certificates will be issued to all the participants of ICS 2017. Separate Certificate will be issued to the participants of the Symposium.
Registration:
The Registration fee is Rs. 13000/-# (Rupees Thirteen Thousand only) per participant for both ICS 2017 Main Conference + Symposium i.e from 3rd to 6th January 2017.
The Registration fee is Rs.4000/-# (Rupees Four Thousand only) per participant only for main conference on 3rd and 4th January 2017.
