Dear sefian
This document is available on net if you search it. At page number 12 column 1 above drawing of beam detail  spacing of stirrups is calculated as d/2= 532/2 = 266. in refrence to clause 6.3.5 of IS 13920. for mid span of beam. But in the same page column 2 of page 6th line above drawing/ fig " Elsewhere provide stirrups @ 165mm c/c ." I am confused why it is 165mm ?. I am not able to figure this out pls help.

Sir,

It was already mentioned that the minimum reinforcement as per SP-16 at center is given as 165 mm c/c. and it was found out that the maximum spacing can be : (d/2 = 266 mm) as per IS:13920 . Then, they have found out that the spacing of stirrups at the ends as: 125 mm c/c using the IS:13920. Now, the statement "Elsewhere, provide stirrups at 165 mm centers" means that the except at distance of '2d' from both ends, the stirrup spacing should be 165 mm as per calculated from SP-16.
