Dear All,

At one of my project, as the cube results out it is showing the concrete strength of M10 grade while the design was given for the M30 concrete.
The project is a college building, and all the foundations and column (1st lift) are casted.
Please tell the solution for the current case,  how can we rectify it with minimal losses

Regards,

Dear  Er. ABHISHEK GUPTA,
I agree  with Er. B.V. Rao recommendations " go for dismantling".
Where  Public-Safety  is involved, this is the only choice we have .

Dear Er Gupta,

Specified concrete characteristic strength of M30 means average cube crushing strength should be about 34 MPa with good quality control. Not more than 5% of results should fall below this value. You say that the cube strength results are of the order of 10 MPa. Hence, characteristic strength will be still lower.

There is definitely no solution other than dismantling for such poor quality concrete.
