Hello All
I am designing footings for a structure. Net SBC of the site is 22 T/m2 at 3m from ground level as per soil report. So we are keeping footing at 3m from ground level. While designing I have considered Gross SBC i.e SBC=22+3*1.8=27.4T/m2 but the pier reviewer said we must consider Net SBC. My understanding is that we must consider Gross SBC because of overburden pressure of backfill.

Please guide me whether to take Net SBC or Gross SBC
