Recently China has shut down steel production plants to curb pollution. Unless we make stands and increase standards to curb pollution now, wouldn't India also be forced to similar situations in the coming year, especially in light of the difficulties we have seen from the people in Delhi suffering

Even though steel production results in pollution in the form of excess by products, steel    production cannot be shut down in India because the shutting down of steel  industries will seriously affect the economy system. As we know, the steelmaking process is done using Blast Furnace. We can adopt environment friendly alternatives like the Circofer process, Corex process etc instead of Blast furnace. Such processes are being used in India. Corex process reduces upto 20% carbon dioxide emissions. The point is that, we can reduce the pollution factors to an extent by recycling of steel and adopting these environment friendly measures.
