|
|
Suppose a structure consists of many isolated footings. Here, suppose the required depth of one isolated footing is 2ft whereas for rest of the footing, it is 1ft. In such a case, my senior has told me to use same footing thickness of 2ft for all the footings. But wouldn't that make the footings uneconomical? Why can't I use 1ft for all the rest of the footings except for that particular one? Why is it so recommended to use a single footing thickness? Please give your comment. |
