Entire Japan is seismic active zone.
The expected level of performance of structure wrt seismic hazards is conceptuallly defined at two level : Medium level EQ and Severe EQ with return periods if 50 yrs and 500 yrs respectively.
PleaSe see /search net to get these Code , but commentaries are available in google. |
