About Er. Jaswant Arlekar

Jaswant N. Arlekar is a Practicing Civil and Structural Engineer and an Adjunct Professor at the National Centre for Disaster Mitigation and Management, Malaviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur. He holds a PhD from IIT Kanpur. With a professional experience (practice, research, and teaching) of over 20 years he has conducted short courses on subjects of analysis, design and detailing structural steel.  He has designed and executed several residential, commercial, public (auditoriums) and industrial projects in reinforced concrete and structural steel. He also has experience in assessment, repair and retrofit of structures with special emphasis on  earthquake-related safety. He is a Member of Code Committees of the Bureau of Indian Standards and Indian Roads Congress .
