Steel column s shed over Rcc column structure

I think it is better to go for pipe columns ( round/ square) having L/R  same in two directions.
May be I section failing due to L/R in Lz dir.

If vertical bracing is provided at End/ penultimate bays,, the horizontal forces of wind can be easily negotiated by bracings and columns in minor direction I  yr case be spared of heavy moments.

Rcc column beneath can be taken as Fixed / Hinged connection as per detailing proposed at junction.

Thanks Vikram for your advise. I shall try to implement in my project and get back to you if I face any difficulty.
