Text books on Seismic Analysis and Design quantify ductility based on either:
a)Displacement Ductility(maximum displacement/yield displacement) b)Strain Ductility(maximum strain/yield strain) c)Curvature Ductility(maximum curvature/yield curvature)
However, would there be any difference between the values of Displacement Ductility,Strain Ductility,Curvature Ductility? Because, strain is -> displacenment/orignal length, then, would'nt Displacement Ductility and Strain Ductility give same magnitudes?
