Respected SEFI Members,
I am doing an academic project on Effectiveness of Tune Mass Dampers (TMD) for Bridges. In this I need to analysis a simply supported bridge girder with 3 TMD’s for Moving load or Harmonic Force. The arrangement of TMD’s will be one at centre and two near supports. The analysis wont be done using any software, the plan is to write a programme for the above listed case and then to vary the mass of the 3 TMD’s , say 70% of mass in centre TMD and 30% of mass Distributed in End span TMD’s and then to study the displacement of the bridge. I would be using Visual Basic’s / Microsoft Excel for writing the programme. The concept is based on the paper “Timoshenko Beam with Tuned Mass Dampers to Moving Loads” as published in “Journal of bridge Engg, ASCE/March/April2004. To conclude I need some serious help … and if any of u can guide me or can help or can give any suggestion… Please…. u r welcomed.
Thanking You, Mandar S.Dandekar.

Dear Mr. Dandekar,
You can refer one my publication in this regard. I hope this will help your purpose.
