Dear ALL In high-rise buildings elastic shorting of columns is predominant. My question is 1) How to calculate the exact elastic shorting of column. 2) Giving chamber to floor plate and Vertical tilt to all columns and shear wall will work to nullify the elastic shorting? 3) What will be the other majors to counteract this shorting? Thanks in advance
