hi, while adding beams or plates... is there any pattern to follow
like clockwise/anticlockwise (at the time of choosing nodes)? what is
the professional way to do ??

Use uniform patterning over entire model . otherwise the element local axis will be changed .
See the example files n check how the local axis is oriented accordingly –depends on software you r using
(press ctrl+o to see local axis orientation in staad pro)

I follow the below pattern  
eg. Left to right, bottom to top (line elements) and same way for plates (anti clock wise from left bottom)

Dear All
       One can change the orientation of members at any time by using redefine incidences command (Select the members u want to change the orientations >> go to Tools>> go to Redefine Incidence>> and change the incidences as per ur requirements)
