Dear Atul
CCavenue is quite similar to what you see on MakeMyTrip AND IRCTC etc.We had to abandon the idea due to low volume of expected transactions and high cost of the service itself, in future we may reconsider it. NetBanking is gaining popularity and NEFT can be efficiently used.
Best wishes

I think there should be a facility to pay by credit/debit card.
For this i suggest www.paypal.com is a good site.
From this site we can pay and get funds by using our credit card. |

Dear Saurabh,
Yes Paypal is a good option however, there is a legal issue with it, a SEFI is not permitted to accept foreign currency funds however paypal only offers USD ($) as currency and indian rupee is not offered while accepting charge, they do offer to withdraw to bank accounts in any currency.
Because of this limitation, we can not go for PayPal for the time being, though I saw recently that they have an India registered company PayPal Pvt Ltd and charge on card statement is considered a domestic transaction [in Indian Currency]. That also has an issue. It means we charge users in USD $ while transacting, PayPal uses a currency conversion rate, then user is actual charged in India Rupee, then again currency conversion when withdrawing funds from PayPal from USD to INR, that way two times currency conversion happen and that where the loss of revenue happen which is dubious and not acceptable at SEFI as we want best use of contributions made by community rather than letting spending it on transaction charges itself.
We do belive all well wishers of SEFI will understand the difficulties at hand in providing these contribution channels and take the trouble to use other methods like check/dd or Bank Transfer/ Neft (electronic funds transfer) etc.
We still welcome suggestions on these matter from all over the community to arrive at a economically viable option.
If you are aware of any work arounds to above issues like using INR as primary currecy at PayPal and avoid multiple times currecny conversions [when user contributes and when PayPal pays SEFI) do share your thoughts.
With best Regards
