Dear Sfians,
Please read the article as in the web site furnished below in which it is written in a lucid manner the importance of manual calculation whcih is essential for counter checking the output of the computer results.
IT ALSO GIVES US GUIDANCE HOW WE SHOULD IMPROVE OUR KNOWLEDGE IN THE THIRD PAGE.
One sentance of the article is as below:

The emergence of desktop computers ironically killed their ability to interact with technology.

Engineer's Calculation Back to Square One
Thanks Eng T.Rangarajan for posting excellent document about realities.

Author P Eng has excellently opened his professional heart to state the design life facts.
Young Engineers may not like this article paper but the facts remain intact.
Professional pomp & show demonstration using hundreads of hard print pages submission should be avoided.
Why go for multiple options for one or two?
It is a shear waste of professional time.
Paper makes all engineers to contemplate about allowing accommodation to include manual work in addition to routine computers involvement.
Computers use should be optimised rather than siting it on head all moments.
Regards

In continuation of my previous attachment on the importance of HAND CALCULATIONS of engineering problems I am attaching another article from Modern steel to stress more importance of checking the computer outputs specially for young engineers.

Respected Er.Suraj,

Thanks for correcting my name as I put my father's name in the mail ID as a remembrance.
